I read a lot and I mean a lot and I read about Pinterest in June 2010 (click here for proof) and immediately signed up.

I was gleeful about this new little site. It took all of my favorite magazine tear sheets from boxes in my house and put them neatly on one page for the world to see.

I told everyone I knew about this site and they all looked at me puzzled. They had no idea what I was talking about. I even wrote three blog entries about it in June 2010 to no avail. Now it's all the rage and when people ask me about it I look at them and say "Um yeah I knew about Pinterest two years ago and no one listened to me."

Let's just say that once again I was ahead of the curve and ahead of the trend.

The Extraordinary Ladies behind A Soolip Wedding

I thought it time the ladies behind A Soolip Wedding deserve their very own blog entry. Wanda Wen, owner of Soolip, and her amazing team of Erica Ahlin and Brooke Barnes Zipperman pull off the Soolip Wedding event and they make it look effortless. I know that whatever I ask or need I never have to worry that it isn't going to happen. They also look amazing the day of the event and I have proof this year. I was able to get them in my photo booth before the event was finished.

P.S. Brooke's baby was due almost the same day as this year's LA event (and ended up having her baby two weeks early) and showed up at the end of the event to make an appearance. You can view the images I took of her Brooke and her baby bump here.

A Soolip Wedding Photo Booth

Part of the fun of being a part of A Soolip Wedding is the fun guests have at the photo booth I set up at the event. I love how everyone gets in the spirit and then I get to go home and create a fun slideshow out of all the images.

Lolo Siderman Headshot Shoot

Lolo Siderman, owner of Gypsywing, a full service design, marketing and PR agency, asked me to shoot her new headshots and we decided to go to Point Dume in Malibu for our shoot. That beach has the most amazing light.

Why I Love Film - Brooke and Stephen + 1

Any excuse I have to shoot film I do and the baby bump shoot with Brooke and Stephen was a perfect excuse.

Thank goodness they still producer 3200 film. Nothing better than this type of film grain.
