Back in the day................

The side of the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Company building in downtown Los Angeles. Once the manufacturer of bowling balls, pins, equipment, billiards and phonographs.

I was shooting a rooftop garden next door when I captured this image.

It is now a photography and event space called Brunswick Studio.

Not only have I created a desktop calendar but also a wall calendar with some of my floral images.  Great holiday gift for parents, coworkers and friends.

The calendar is printed on high quality, high density paper that's easy to write on and comes bound and ready to hang on the wall (size approx. 12 x 16.5")

Rarely do I write long blog entries but I want to share with you my adventure in New Orleans.

I discovered that there is a Six Flags New Orleans amusement park that was closed for Hurricane Katrina and because the flooding was so extensive it never reopened. You can click here to view what is looked like right after the hurricane.

So I went on a secret mission while I was in New Orleans and trespassed on the property.  I scouted the park a couple of days before and discovered the old employees entrance was the easiest way to get in (and trust me it was VERY easy).  It was eerie and exhilarating all at the same time and I can tell you there was not a soul nor a critter in sight.

I created the slideshow in the order in which I saw the park in this state.  You can also view my comments as you watch the slideshow (upper right hand corner of the screen).  Click here to view the slideshow in a separate window.

The park will be sold for scrap metal in January 2011.

I Love Film - Leanne and Christopher

Yesterday's blog entry was about my sister Leanne's wedding last year.  Even though I thought I would shoot more than I did, fellow photographer Laurie Bailey knew better and insisted that I shoot very little.

I shot a half a roll of 3200 film (a film that I love) and this is one of my favorite images that I shot.

Leanne and Christopher

My sister Leanne got married just over a year ago. It's hard to believe a year has passed by. My family and I were honored to have my good friend Laurie Bailey photograph their wedding.

Happy anniversary and here's to many more years together................
